The staff of The Catch gathered this afternoon at downtown Jacksonville’s Ruby Beach Brewing Company to celebrate the start of the Minor League baseball season. While we had hoped to watch a bit of the Sacramento at Salt Lake City matchup, it was delayed due to weather. So, now we just get to drink beer and talk baseball, aka The Perfect Friday Afternoon.
We’d love to discuss beer and baseball a little more (we will, just not here)…but our post this afternoon is about the fact that we finally know which players will be inhabiting Crustacean Nation for (the beginning of) the 2023 season. Here they are:

As you can see, there are plenty of old faces – Hi Brian Miller! – along with a number of new players that will hopefully help propel our beloved Shrimp to glory. Take a look and see what you think.

We are now less than 4 hours to go until first pitch in Gwinnett. Time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the sounds of Scott Kornberg and Matt Davis coming through your speakers with the best baseball commentary you’ll hear all summer. Let’s go Shrimp!
