About

Kevin Cooper

I started this blog to be able to talk baseball all the time. Majors, minors, the history of the game, the business of the game, uniforms, logos…whatever might be worthy of discussion. My family and I relocated from Chicago to Jacksonville, Florida in 2021 and with the local team, the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp making their debut at the Triple-A level in 2021, they seemed like a great topic to focus on.

I was born in St. Louis, Missouri and raised in the small town of Mount Vernon, Ohio. After a spell working in Washington, D.C., I lived in Toledo, Ohio for a number years before making my way to Chicago, and now on to Jacksonville. I’m a diehard Cleveland Guardians fan (yes, even with the name change I love that team), with the St. Louis Cardinals a close second. I’ve seen a game in every MLB stadium and I’m currently making my way through all of the Minor League parks. (currently at 33 active parks, 7 former parks). I’m a lawyer and I love to discuss sports law whenever I get the chance. I also love to travel, and I’m lucky to have a wonderful wife and daughter who indulge my passion for the game no matter where we go.
