Welcome to The Catch

As the first post on this site, I’d like to welcome everyone to The Catch, my new baseball blog dedicated to the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, major and minor league baseball, and anything else I can think of that might be baseball-related. (There will be other stuff from time to time) Baseball has been a huge part of my life for 40+ years now, and, with some urging from my much better half, I decided it was time to set up my own space to write whatever I liked about the baseball topics I wanted to discuss. I’ve called it “The Catch” as it applies both to what you do to get shrimp, and what you do with a baseball. (Clever, huh?) So, here we go. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I will enjoy writing it. Happy Baseball everyone!
