It’s been a bit since we have written a post for our followers to read (and thanks to you both!), but the entirety of 2024 seemed like one long slog for us. We moved to from Jacksonville to suburban Houston this summer (we miss you Jacksonville!) and with all that a move entails on both ends, unsettled and unmotivated would be a generous desciption of the year that was. Add to that the perpetual crisis that our nation now faces going forward with the return of Herr Drumpf, and baseball has been further from the mind than in most years.
That said, we will be doing a better job of writing in 2025. Hopefully we will have new stories to share, new ballparks to write about, and we will be able to celebrate our beloved Jumbo Shrimp as they expand Vystar Ballpark to make it the best park around. If nothing else, writing more will be cathertic and a release from the daily grind. We are now closer to baseball in 2025 – two weeks to Spring Training! – than to the end of the 2024 season. Huzzah!
